What is MMSA?

The Metro Midrange Systems Association (MMSA) is a community of IBM midrange users serving Dallas/Ft. Worth and the surrounding North Central Texas area. We strive to provide our members with the best information on IBM midrange computers, education from IBM and related solution providers, and networking among other users.

MMSA Mission

The objectives of the Association are to promote and expand the education, knowledge and skills of its members; to encourage free exchange of IBM System i skills, technical information and problem solving techniques; and to provide adequate communication to keep members abreast of current events related to the use of IBM System i (i5, iSeries, AS/400) computer systems.

MMSA History

Metro Midrange Systems Association was formed in February 1989 by the merging of the Greater Fort Worth 34/36 Users Group (established in October 1985) and the West Texas 38 Users Group (established in May 1985). The D/FW Midrange Professional Users Group (established in January 1980) also joined MMSA in May of 1995. Today, the MMSA has gone back to its original roots in supporting users of the IBM System i (iSeries, AS/400) computer systems with over 100 individual member and non-member attendees and over 35 corporate members in the D/FW metropolitan and surrounding areas, known as the Metroplex.
